I realise it is almost impossible to an IS (International Standard) of me. Your family sees a different side of me, my lover sees another side of me and different groups of friends see another sides of myself.

It is not about how true I am, but about how much you are to me to see my true self.

Did a search online to find out how to protect my charcoal artwork. They have been smudging and i have to put a lot of papers in between each painting to prevent staining onto one another. I thought of using lacquer, but seems like there is this great invention called fixative.

“After you finish your charcoal drawing, use fixative to preserve and protect your artwork. Fixative is a clear protective spray that should be imperceptible if applied correctly. It comes in an aerosol can and can be found at most art stores. Follow the directions on the can. Be sure to work in a well-ventilated area!”

We had our first “effective” class outing with 7 to turn up (class size of 17). Probably this is good for a small start. I don’t want to ever ever get into this obligated feeling to get everyone to participate, it does not feel good. So i am damn lazy to organise anything after poly (unless i miss u ppl very much). Other than further trouble and amendments to time, date and venue to accommodate every single kind soul, i am going to stay out of matter. Moral support for whoever the committee will be adequate effort from me.

Had our dinner at N.Y.D.C., it’s been so long with good food. Caught Monster House at Cineleisure cinema. Thumbs up for the movie. Can’t get used to watching movie with others, except Lester. Weird feeling i discovered that day. Dose off a few seconds in the movie, plain too tired. No choice have to go home immediately after the movie. Hope it is not spoilt sport for the others, personal quality sleep is the ultimate priority over any others.

Miss the poly gang where my comfort zone lies. Hope to meet them during my term break and forgive my busy schedule for the past weeks. A lot of self discipline and attention has to be given to my school work.

Have been doing a series of “horny” stuff in school:

• Foundation Drawing – drawing nudes
• 4D Design – watching erotic and passionate kissing foreign movies
• Literature – all stories are about flirting
• Western Art History – study of the transformations of statues over centuries (mainly nude statues)

I’m glad i am still alive, sitting in front of the computer with my love ones. There won’t be any grumbling tonight…

This is my second week of school. Started to get more comfortable with the classes, work load and classmates (they are indeed cute lah). The only problem is I have (the class as well) is understanding the instructions of some lecturers. Sometimes their instructions are so vague or they are so kind to let our imagination roam about that we often don’t quite understand what we are expected to produce. Counter check and check again from friends and lecturer, so scare that we will do wrongly.

I am very happy that i have passed my QET test, thus, no extra english module to take during the course. No words can describe my happiness. My hard work really pays off. I started reading novels half a year ago. Tired also read, par tor also read, eat breakfast also read, in the train also read…

The other achievement i have is improvement in my still life drawing. Actually what Robert pointed out the other nite has made an strong impact. I do hope this will not be any negative forces pulling down my moral, but instead to encourage me to do better. I won’t say what i am now is in my best state, but the improvements i have noticed is great and satisfactory. And most importantly, i am constantly reminding myself not to compare with others. Do what i can, progress slow and steadily. Ai zai~ Ai steady~

Friday went to meet up with my ex-colleagues for dinner. They were shocked by my new image. Always didn’t have chance to speak with the one who i wanted to speak to most in the gathering. In this case, she his Fanny. Really nice to see them around.

Bonky came to my house on saturday. She showed me 1 taiwan magazine, the korean version of Lake House and the hair cream that she is no longer using. Heez~ Thank you gal~ I think she has seen the ugly side of Ah Pi. Cut hair also very fierce, bathe also very fierce. He is an angry dog man~

And also have to thank my beloved for driving me around and accompany me through the nite while i do my weekly assignments.

Monday
I’m exceptionally excited for my first day in school. Din sleep well as far as i remembered. I have a superband’s classmate from Mi Lu Bing. Heez~ Anyway, my very first foundation drawing lesson is to draw a female nude model. Yar… Nude one~ You will be too concentrated that you do not think of the embarrassing atmosphere. By the way, you ought to respect what the model is doing. So no laughing matter.

Second half of the day is Literature. Haiz… The lecturer is going on a monotonous and soft manner in the big lecture hall, I’m falling asleep. We have Literature tutorial after that. And I told Karen, “I hope I won’t fall asleep in the tutorial.” Neither do i know, the malay man in simple white tee and jeans is my tutorial teacher till he took out the attendance list to mark the attendance. Damn pai seh…

Tuesday
4D design is the worst. I can’t figure out what the teacher is conveying and she often lost in her own thoughts. A lot of times, we are reminded not to take advantage of what is already present in the surrounding or environment. In other words, to be more observant. Had my first group project during this lesson: to take photos where human is connected to the environment. Sounds chim eh? This is where what i find the differences between poly and jc come in. I can feel that everyone is protecting their ideas, judging what is right or wrong, very similarly to how when I was in poly.

Thursday
2D design is fun. A lot of exploration work to do. However, I feel most comfortable in this lesson so far. Finding many ways to draw a simple letter “X” with just black and white paint. And the homework for that is explore as many ways to represent tic tac toe and bring to lesson next week. Kinda fun.

After lunch is the Western Art History mass lecture. First thing is to group us up for the first assignment, what Matrix and answer some question. Den off we end our lesson.

Friday
No school today. But I wake up to make Oreo cheese cake for my ah dear. Taste excellent but the cheese is too soft. Next time will try to put more gelatine or add some flour into the cheese mixture.

Overall
Lots of homework to do even this is first week. A lot of sketches to draw, journals to keep, pictures to take, stories to read and even movies to watch. The lessons have given us lots of room for freedom to do whatever we want, at times we are really lost in the no-guideline environment.

Spend quite a bit on the materials. Very lucky to say that I do not have any text book except Literature and Western Art History. Ultimately, Art Friend will be my best friend for the next 4 years. My daily bag with roller, papers, drawing blocks and materials are indeed aching me. Asking my mum to sew me an extraordinary big bag if she can coz an art file is expensive. Hahaha~

I did not really do a count but there are more jc students in class than the poly. Frequency is not that right but i guess everything will fall in place after which. A lot of people knows how to play music (guitar, piano, keyboard), really talented bunch of people. Stressful? I choose to ignore liao… Do what i can bah…

That’s all… Need to draw again. Till then~

It took me quite a long time to finish 6 seasons of Sex and the City. And now, I can simply tell you I love them.

Talking only about love, relationships (both friendship and boy-girl relationship), men, branded goods and sex by 4 fiction characters: Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charolette York and Miranda Hobbes.They put the girls’ feelings into visuals. It just make me feel so much. I would recommend the guys to watch them too.

Fall deeply in love with Paris and Manhattan after this sitcom. I would love to visit them one of the days.
