The Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour 07

My very first time to a concert and it’s my idol’s concert!

You dun feel much when everyone is still streaming into the concert venue. It’s the very moment when the concert starts, you will wonder “Are you really here?” At least i feel very touched somehow.

I bought the cheapest ticket, $88, you get to see Jackey Cheung as big as your little pinky and most of the time i have to look at the screen. During the first few minutes, i feel like running to the front. I can’t imagine how the experience will be like siting right there. My sector belongs to the balcony level and mainly the matured cool group of spectators, how high can i be? Lester and i are so embarrassed to take out our light sticks because most of the people are using the battery operated ones. How old school we are. Hahaha~

The spectators voted for Cantonese, therefore, Jacky speaks Canto throughout the whole concert. I have some difficulties catching what he says but not as bad as Lester. His performance is split into like 4 main sections: singing, talk about his life, singing of others’ songs and a 30 minutes musical sketch. The whole concert ended with a 45 minutes encore, that’s 10 songs altogether.

It’s a little pity all souvenirs like tee shirts and caps are already out of sale from all previous shows. At the booth, they only sell cds. Managed to see Jackey coming out from the stadium and board into a mini van. Lalala~ The closest i can get. I’m rather surprise to hear from Lester that he would buy the most expensive tickets in the future. Well~ I guess the live experience is indeed tempting. I think the stage design is ugly though, lighting and effects are not bad.

I somehow like this picture a lot. The face is like a cartoon.

Virus Infection
I have been LS-ing for the pass 3 days due to virus infection. Hate it!

A Series of Events

It’s been a long time i update my blog. But i’m just going to run through some memorable ones.

Microsoft PreMix 2007
I received an extended invitation by Microsoft through Lester. It’s a sneak preview of the trade event, ReMix 2007, the following day. I think it is really eye opening to see the latest softwares and technologies that Microsoft has developed. I’m interested in the standalone applications developed by Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) while Lester is interested with the Silverlight video streaming and video editing. Of course, the outputs are only performable with the Windows OS. Unless you really hate Microsoft, if not there is no other reason not to know about that.

Here are some of the pictures taken by Nic and Leon. I was also inspired by the amount of prototypes done. You never know when these prototypes can be further develop them into useful scenarios.

Sureeporn’s Visit To Singapore
2 years ago i visited Thailand with Lester’s family. We are well taken care of by the Glico’s Thailand staff, one of them is Ms Sureeporn. This time round, she came to Singapore for business so we bring her around on the last day.

Can’t deny that it’s like meeting a very old friend, a lot of things to catch up. Morning we brought her to Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh. Soup is superb but oiler than Ah Hua’s Bak Kut Teh. It’s fulling breakfast i would say.

Sentosa is our next stop. I find it embarrassing to tell Sureeporn the frequency of a Singaporean visiting Sentosa – i say it in a nicer way “Singaporeans only come for the beaches”. Took the cable car to Sentosa, visited The Merlion and The Underwater World. It’s really expensive after you total up the bill.

From them, part time in Thailand has no pay. To them it’s the experience gain that is important. Only a few will provide allowance. Whoa~

ADM Modules Registration
As usual, in a mess… Hate ADM!

Rebonding
It’s only when talking to Nicole then i realise that if you mentioned that you are a student, they will charge you student price… This time the rebonding ain’t that great. The parting is all wrong and generally not that straight. I got a fright when i wash my hair this morning, my fringe part into 2 right in the middle despite that they should come down straight.

Pasta De Waraku @ The Central
Discover this excellent pasta place at The Central. They serves lots of variety of pasta, from the conventional cream and tomato based one to something that you din try before. Starter comes with a small bowl of greens with Japanese plum sauce, refreshing. Lester ordered the Cream Bacon & Potato while i tried the unconventional Wafu Chicken & Mushroom. Wonder what is Wafu based sauce? I can’t describe either. But it’s clear, something like stock and toss with olive oil and garlic. Light and not oily. Next time maybe i will try the soup pasta instead.

Did i say it’s Japanese pasta? This can out beat the The Ambush and The Sketches which we two frequent a lot.

Pete’s Place
Early celebration for Lester’s mum birthday. Brunch at Pete’s place Hyatt Hotel. Good spread of Italian buffet but my delights are the Minestrone Soup, Serberts, Fish and Crayfish. I only go 1 round of main course and 1 round of dessert. It’s a pity.

Manicure and Pedicure
My first visit at a nail salon at Vivo City. Aunty Jas’s treat on her package for me and Hui Min. I got dark red for my nails and shimmering pink for my tiny little short toe nails. Pampering myself~ Hahaha~

Swelling Lips
My gums and corner of my lips show symptoms of allergies. Poor me~

Sherlock Holmes
Bought a complete series of Sherlock Holmes’s story book. It’s very catchy to even read the first paragraph. But the journey on the bus makes me wanna sleep.

Ups & Downs
There seems to be a lot of downs between us this week. I apologise for the tick-tocking. Sorry darling~

Randoms

Gathering At Mongolian Steamboat Restaurant
Located at Tan Gui Lan Street, we try for the very first time Mongolian steamboat. The steamboat is divided into 2 section, 1 spicy soup base the other clear soup base. Side dishes are pretty common ones. Some of them suggest that the soup may not be meant for drinking as it is not smooth. Probably…

Had little gossips here and there at MOS burger. Lalala~ And of course welcome Suqin back home and safe trip for Laily.

East Coast Blading
I fall down so much lesser compared to last week. Trying to learn how to brake with the help of Hui Min. Lalala~ Practice makes perfect. I just need to keep my knees closer and relax~

Roller Blading

Relearning my blade at my void deck with chan. My dad saw us late in the nite, come down to coach us.

Saturday went blading at East Coast Park. I sit on my bum thrice and to avoid major injuries i headed for the greens on the side of the road. Safe landing~ Phew~ Better learn how to stop…

Zodiac

After watching several lousy trilogies, Zodiac is the best movie i have watched in these 2 months. It’s a true story happened in San Fransisco during the late 1960s. A series of murder cases happen to lonely vehicles straying on the highway in the night.

Anyway, i really slimmed down (for those who are still not convinced). Many has commented on that. And i enjoy these compliments. Shall keep up the good work and fill my life with sweats and fats burning.

I am very disappointed with people in the adults circle. They often make simple things difficult. Trying to organise a gathering for the birthday ex-colleagues, in the end one don’t want to treat that particular birthday person, some not in the click thought it’s a simple makan session, ended up i need to rewrite my email to re-inform it’s a “normal” (on dutch) gathering which makes me look kinda stewpig (like slapping my own mouth). If i have the money, i will throw the money at them.

I believe everyone has some favorite friends and some not-so-favorite ones in a group. But with the amount of rice these adults feed on, it’s really shameful to hear from them the above childish comments. Nonsensical suggestions doesn’t make the situation better. I was looking forward to the gathering, but it just make me furious instead.

Yahoo! Pool

Lester intro Yahoo! Pool to me yesterday. Though this game has existed long time ago, but i have not try before. It’s kinda fun to play at the same time talk to him on the phone.

PS: He is not that pro too. My taigo-ness gives me better luck on the table.

Art Is In The Month

PC Show & World Book Fair
PC Show is so so so so pack. You hardly can walk. Contrast with the Book Fair, I think you can run in the lanes. I got a Complete Collection of Sherlock Holmes fiction book.

Kader’s Birthday
Was late because i can’t finish Kader’s hip hop clothes. Anyway, we celebrated at Ken’s house with him cooking and bbqing at the laundry area. See a number of my friends but ain’t have time to catch up. Just plain tired.

Art Festival
It’s Arts Festival again. Have this sudden urge to go for exhibitions at National Museum. Lalala~ Going this weekend probably.

Royston Tan’s 881
I believe some of you have seen this trailer in cinema. The song damn catchy lah. I want to watch.

Jackie Cheung’s Concert
My dream is fulfilled. I am going to meet him. Thanks darling for travelling all the way up to Tampines to collect tickets.

老人越老越不懂他们在想什么

My poor dog got cut once in his eye lid last week. As usual lar, my mum can’t see and she never wear her glasses.

Today she says my dog got dandruff. I happily commented that maybe the shampoo does not suit. But my sister protested, she told me she washed Pi Pi with washing powder.

Ok… If she wants to end my dog’s life earlier, i would rather kill him myself. I think i need more time with my dog. It’s really very frustrating.
